Steele currently helps lead the creative charge on State Farm and the NFL. Previously he’s steered work for ESPN, Nike, Jordan, Heineken, Smirnoff, and Samsung.
Having never been a pitmaster, he can DIY a pretty mean Carolina-style hack, thanks to his crockpot. Having never backpacked in college, he caught both the travel bug and his wife thanks to an around-the-world sabbatical and near decade at Wieden+Kennedy. Steele likes to approach everything in life with the same humility, resiliency, WYSIWYG honesty, eye for detail, taste, and all-around class with which a young Mike Krzyzewski wrote to a young Mike Jordan on October 29, 1980:
“I am sorry to hear that you no longer have an interest in learning more about Duke University. You are a fine young man and you should make an immediate impact on whatever you choose. Take care, and best of luck.”
